What is The Need Network?

A network comprised of businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals that collaborate to share and to meet the needs of others based on the Biblical model found in Acts 4:32-35, 1 Timothy 6: 17-19, and 2 Corinthians 8:13-15. “Needs” for the purpose of this Network include but are not limited to a lack of financial or tangible resources that are unattainable due to circumstance that is imperative for everyday functioning. (See examples of needs under the question How do I share a need to The Need Network?)

“All believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions were their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.” Acts 4:32-35

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”   1 Timothy 6:17-19.

“I’m not saying this in order to ease someone else’s load by overloading you, but as a matter of fair balance. Your surplus could meet their need, and their abundance may one day meet your need. This equal sharing opportunity will mean a fair balance. As it is written: The one who gathered much didn’t have too much, and the one who gathered little didn’t have too little.” 2 Corinthians 8:13-15

How does The Need Network Operate?

The Need Network is comprised of Need Advocates (businesses, churches, organizations & individuals) who communicate and meet needs presented to the network. The presented needs will then be broadcasted to the network through email, allowing opportunity to give resources to meet, or to meet the need directly.

To foster awareness of the needs of others, bring unity and networking to the body of Christ, and promote that everyone can make a difference.

In what region does The Need Network Operate?
